Principal
Dear Riccardi Families,
Hello March! I am sure that you are all looking forward to warmer weather as much as I am.
We kicked off February with the PTA’s Pick a Reading Partner (PARP), and I am so proud of those students who participated! Great job reading and filling in your superhero sheets. A big Thank You to the Riccardi PTA as well as the Cahill and Morse PTAs for coordinating this fun-filled event for our students district-wide!
We all know how unpredictable the weather in March can be, so please continue to send your child to school with adequate winter gear, i.e. coats, hats, gloves, scarves, etc. We will continue to send students outside for mask breaks and exercise for recess unless the temperature falls below 20 degrees, factoring in wind chill. Let’s hope for sunshine and warmer temperatures!
Believe it or not, Pre-K & Kindergarten Registration for the 2023 – 2024 school year was held Tuesday, February 21st – Friday, February 24th . If you know anyone who has an eligible child and has not received any information in the mail, please have them contact the Registrar’s office at (845) 247-6550, x. 9211. It is important that children are registered in March so that the appropriate number of
class sections are scheduled for September 2023. A printable packet request form is available on our school website as well.
Reminder: Transportation/Day Care forms are due by April 1st . If you have not received your 2023-2024 Day Care Transportation Request Forms, please contact the Riccardi Main Office (845) 247-6870 as they were sent in February. It is very important to fill these out and return them by the due date if you
need special transportation to and/or from daycare for your child. You can return them to the school by sending them in with your child, emailing them to Ms. Meier in the Main Office or mailing them through the post office. Request forms will be date stamped on the date they are handed in, emailed or postmarked. When a form is received after the deadline, the district cannot guarantee accommodation for
daycare transportation to or from school.
Friday, March 10th will be a half day for all students for Saugerties CSD Staff Development Day. Students will be dismissed at 11 am.
Have a wonderful March and Happy Spring!
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to call my office at (845) 247 – 6870.
