Dear Riccardi Elementary School Families,

A very happy December to each and every one of you!  Now that we are at the end of the first marking period and students have received their first report cards, this is a great time to reflect and celebrate areas of success, and to set goals for continued growth. I encourage all families to maintain on-going communication with teachers; it truly takes a village to do the critical work of shaping the next generation.    

A highlight of November was our much anticipated annual Veteran’s Appreciation Celebration on November 6th.  I couldn’t be more proud of the staff and students for all of their hard work and dedication in showing our appreciation to our local veterans for their service to our country. Thank you to our student government led by Mrs. Pettit for planning and organizing such a great event! Our local veterans were honored and touched by the heartfelt program.

Our annual 5th & 6th grade Winter Concert is scheduled for Thursday, December 11th at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria.  The snow date is Friday, December 12th. Our student musicians will also perform during school on December 11th for students and staff at our Winter Concert Assembly.

Be sure to take a look at our calendar for more December activities. As a reminder, there is no PTA meeting in December. The next PTA meeting will take place on Wednesday, January 14th, 2026.

Winter Recess is Wednesday, December 24th through Friday, January 2nd.  Schools will re-open on Monday, January 5th.
