His pride for his community has guided both his personal and professional journey. As president and CEO of Tower Products Incorporated, DeCelle has built his life in the very community that raised him. “I can’t imagine living anywhere but Saugerties,” he said. “I feel blessed to have built my life here—finding not only a great company rooted right in town, but also meeting my wife through that opportunity.”
 

That sense of gratitude has translated into decades of service, especially in youth athletics. While many know him today as the energetic voice announcing the Saugerties football and basketball games, DeCelle’s involvement began long before he stepped into the high school spotlight.
 

“My brother Chris and I always mimicked the well-known voices of 1980s sports,” he recalled. “In the late 1980s, I began announcing Little League baseball and softball All-Star games, and I continued right up until the pandemic.” He eventually brought that same passion to Saugerties High School, beginning around 2019 or 2020 as the public address announcer for football and basketball games. For DeCelle, the role is about more than just calling names—it’s about creating an unforgettable experience.
 

“When the players take the field for football, or when I’m announcing the starting lineups before a basketball game, I’ve always felt that getting the kids fired up is part of the job,” he said. “Bringing that excitement, building the atmosphere, and giving them their moment.”
 

Those moments have created lasting memories—not just for the athletes, but for DeCelle himself. One that stands out most was deeply personal. “My son Casey’s senior night in basketball for sure,” he shared. “He finally got a Varsity start, so being able to announce him in the starting lineup was special. The cherry on top was that everything came full circle that night. All of the starters were players I had coached [in Little League] for multiple years.”
 

Another unforgettable experience came during a high-stakes Sectional semifinal game in 2024. “The gym was standing room only; the intensity was palpable,” he said. “The Sawyers were down by two in overtime, but came back to win.” Through it all, DeCelle has become a steady presence at games, helping to energize both players and fans. He sees his role as part announcer, part conductor of the crowd.
 

“The students are fantastic. They bring so much energy we wish we all had,” he said. “I see my role as helping to guide the fans, too. Sometimes the crowd isn’t quite sure when to get loud or what moments really call for it. That’s where I try to step in and help fill in the blanks.”
 

His dedication to volunteering is rooted in family values. “My parents set the example for community involvement, and I’ve tried to carry that forward,” DeCelle said. “It can be very rewarding to make a difference in the lives of others.” Beyond athletics, his contributions have extended into other areas of school life. Through his involvement with the Cahill Elementary PTA, DeCelle helped bring a high-quality sound system to the school—at no cost to the community—demonstrating the power of collaboration.
 

“It was one of our proudest moments because it showed what we can accomplish when the community comes together,” he said.
For DeCelle, whether it’s sports, the arts, or simply showing up for students, the goal is always the same: to help young people grow. He believes deeply in the lessons that come from school activities.
 

“Teamwork, supporting one another, learning to handle adversity—these are life lessons just as much as they are sports lessons,” he said. “The confidence and character built in those moments can carry a child well into adulthood.”
