Kindergarten students team up with Grade 5 Students in a Collaboration Activity

Working side by side, the students built and decorated while sharing ideas and plenty of smiles. For the younger students, it was exciting to learn alongside older peers. For the Grade 5 students, it was a chance to lead with patience and care.

Kindergarten teacher Dana Murphy shared that this collaboration goes beyond a fun project. It helps students practice empathy and compassion, builds friendships across grade levels, and reminds everyone the importance of being kind to one another, including during everyday moments like recess and on the playground.

These small but powerful interactions help students learn mutual respect and show how working together can create a welcoming school community for all.
