Apple Exploration Day!
They learned about the life cycle of an apple tree and at one station, they even created their own apple trees using towel tubes, popsicle sticks, and fluffy "apples."
The day included an apple-themed story and a tasty treat: homemade applesauce! Students left with happy tummies and a bushel of apple knowledge!

Grade 2 students in Gina Pellegri's class at Riccardi Elementary School have been exploring the fascinating journey of seeds! They learned how seeds use wind, water, animals, and even mechanical "explosions" to travel and find the perfect spot to grow.

Grade 3 students at Riccardi Elementary have been diving into the science of ice during the region's recent frigid temperatures! With overnight lows around 6°F, it was the perfect time for hands-on learning about freezing water.

The students of Riccardi Elementary School brought the sounds of the season to life during their Winter Band and Choral Concert! Families filled the cafeteria to enjoy an evening of festive music, featuring holiday favorites that had everyone feeling the joy of this special time of year.

Students hustled through hay bales, dashed through corn stalks, and showed off their army-crawling skills, all for a good cause: raising funds for the PTA, which in turns provides events, programming, and field trips for students!
